The new Quality Play (QP) mode delivers a new level of audio clarity to handheld digital recorders, resulting in less transcription errors and increased accuracy when used in conjunction with speech recognition applications like Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

When it comes to memory, the DS-5000 doesn’t skimp at all; a 512MB Micro SD card is included in the box, and the DS-5000 supports SD and Micro SD cards up to 8 GB in size, giving you an amazing amount of recording time. With the included 512MB card, you have up to 79 hours of recording time; with an 8GB card, you have up to 1,272 hours of recording time. That’s 53 complete days of recording time!

If you require total security for your files, the DS-5000 has an impressive amount of features. You can easily password protect the machine to prevent unauthorised access into the unit. Files sent via email or over the internet can be automatically encrypted and decrypted, giving your files an extra layer of security.

Plus the DS-5000 also has now commonplace features, including digital audio editing, multiple file folders, side mounted slide control, indexing within files and more. In addition, the improved DSS Player Pro software features a new user interface designed to be more efficient for users of all experience levels.
